UKRAINE RESPONSE: Evolution of Refugees Needs Report
The war in Ukraine triggered an unprecedented humanitarian crisis and generated large scale displacement both within Ukraine and to the neighbouring countries. IOM Romania, along with its partners, have been working to identify and address the needs of those displaced from Ukraine. Between March and August 2022, IOM Romania conducted over 8,000 interviews with refugees at border crossing points, and from this we have noted an evolution in the needs of those fleeing the war. This report focuses on this evolution of reported needs of Ukrainians and Third-Country Nationals in Romania between March and October 2022. These are structured around health, education, labour, and housing.
The survey was developed with the financial support of the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) through the Migrant and Refugee Fund (MRF)
